World Cup discussion

From: BALA (Original Message)Sent: 6/4/2002 5:38 AM
Guys I am just thinking that the World Cup deserves a conversation of its own....
Kati nze I am going with Seneg-al all the way... Honestly, "the continent" deserves the Cup! Some time back, the News Week Magazine had a page on the Africa Cup... of all ways this is how the heading read in big bold letters:
"Forget about the killer viruses, the unbriddled corruption, the massive genocides, the famines and the wars... At last, the continent has some good news.... The African Scores"
Ok... I would not call myself patriotic naye when I read this heading, I read it agin about 20 times... Sincerely is this the only way they could "advertise" the Africa Cup.
So whose with me when I say "THE CONTINENT" deserves this cup?

Am with you bro!! but man!! Senegal will have to even do better...against Denmark and Uraguay.........so far the teams from the continent have been impressive but Cameroon which are my hot african favourites have not yet played their best soccer...i think the draw against the irish ....moreover without Roy Kean was dissapointing............but for sure we deserve this thing this time......but first.......I've been impressed by Italy, Spain, Denmark and Brazil...and most probably Portugal playing tonight............and for sure the African teams will have to play their best soccer to beat these teams....................

Im with you.Bala
Its high time the cup came to Africa.
And only then shall we get some serious soccer respect
This is the reason we should support all the African countries.
as for Tunisia.....mwana... i know nothing about them...all I know is they
beat Uganda sometime ago....somebody fill me in about them.

Solo!! am for Argentina.........england is just over hyped....otherwise France almost ..dropped out....Senegal...also wasted that chance to have a smooth run to 2nd round...meanwhile..Saud arabia..proved that their coach doesn't give them katwa....................

Mwana nze I will root for England simply because Argentina beat Nigeria.... Man.... Senegal should won that match....

Yes Bala africa deserves the cup , its been rather a long walk for africa to be recognised as serious contenders , always looked at as mere spectators or simply adding up to the numbers!!!! it was one of africas finest moments when cameroon won the olympics and i believe they can do it this time round as well .just keep fingers crossed.
Otherwise apart from african teams , i will be supporting england to go all the way , i dont think anyone (member of budonians intern) would have serious problems finding what to do if we get another bank holiday when the lads bring home the cup!!

Man.... Nigeria is out again....
What beats me is the way the "Super Eagles" get ousted so easily from the World Cup almost every time. Anyways.... next time they will have to try harder.
Kati "SENEG-AL" is still on the move. Man... how did you guys like that Senegalese goal against Denmark? It was just too inevitable. Excellence at work! South Africa and Cameroon are also still in the game. Tunisia.... I am waiting for them to surprise me.
Bagay.... France is no where to be seen.... Eh man... This is what I like about this world cup. It is so unpredictable. Anything can happen.... Anything can be.

Bagay... I am also between a rock and a hard spot when it comes to research, naye I have a few to spare for concerning the World Cup.
First off, my team, SENEG-AL has advanced. Go Senegal. As for France, they are now history. Man did you guys see how those "Uraguaian" jombas played in the second half against Senegal? Whose with me when I say that they played like men possessed. All of them. I could not believe it, neither could the Senegalese. I mean... a Jomba could "pass the ball to himself".... if you know what I mean; I will not eleborate. If one told me that they were on a doze of weed, I might believe it. Don't you guys think? That was just too unusual!
