Allow me to Re-introduce myself

From: Solo (Original Message)Sent: 7/18/2002 3:53 PM

Hi everybody.

I have noticed that I do not know half the people who are signed up to this
community. This is probably because I wasn't there during their time or
maybe, their nicknames are just incomprehensible. It is also partly due to
unedited personal member profiles.
Ironically however, I have a feeling that I might actually know a lot more
people than I think I do. For example, I have just discovered that Akanga
Justus, my very good friend is a member...infact Iam going to write to him
right now.
To rectify this problem, we should either edit our personal member
profiles to suggest who exactly we are (this is not as hard as it sounds)
or, we should introduce ourselves in our next posted message.
Ill go first.

-My name is Solomon Rugunda. (i hope this clarrifies the "solo" tag).
-I was in Budo from 1995-2000, Nigeria House(House of the Performers)
-I played basketball and rugby, so you might have noticed me on the
sports field.
-I have an elder brother called Kwame, who you might know if you dont
know me.

-peace- Solo

ssajjalyabende Habeeb, i thought you had arranged mob gigs in schule, them england house harreez, not to mention enterte""on weekends, or atleast if you weren't an organiser, i well recall you were quite active those days;;
Now, I know you can find me at my address and snipe at me, but i nevertheless want to remind you that, YOU PARTICIPATED IN SWIMMING COMPETITIONS, """"..i know aiee whats to ask which race, but truthfully i cant say which, though am certain the life saver on duty that day, surely has a story to tell about my one and only habeeb;; so you did something ma buddy, infact we can say you did swim...

From: HabeebSent: 8/16/2002 9:45 AM
okay, no harm maybe i did something, i wasnt rally prepared for those swimming comps,i was ill and still determined to swim for the hse(hopeless house spirit!), but i did do well the following year, and over here in middlesex they are working me like mad, i am in a club and we start swimming training at 4am, i have been off training for 2 weeks bse i had to go away to cyprus for my bday, but they are already on my case, and i may start again tomorrow,oh yes i was entertainment committee treasurer!i had 4gotten!!!!

From: BALASent: 8/16/2002 12:40 PM
Man Habeeb... when I hear of the title "Entertainment Commitee Treasurer," the word "Nyondo" comes to my mind. Now that you can no longer be prosecuted, did you ever bang nyondo? Tell us how these things really worked.

From: MartoSent: 8/16/2002 5:03 PM

From: HabeebSent: 8/17/2002 12:11 PM
Hi bala, well honestly speaking i was made treasurer for the entertainment committee withoout even campaigning!!!!I had trouble the very first few weekends bse i dint know how things run and obviously the people who had been campaigning for nearly a year didnt get the hot seat, well, the treasurer was responsible for collecting money and keeping it...i kept little notes of the amounts i collected every night but no one ever asked me to ever show them!!!sometimes(and many times)..someone else would collect the money and bring it over after the movie, it would ALWAYS be less than what i would collect and it would be such an exact figure...ie 20k or 19550/=; u cant complain bse its not yr money and there is no form of accountability,I hardly ever got tempted using that money, bse i knew if i did, it would become a habit, THOUSANDS of people would come to borrow money and it was hard turning them down bse other members of the committee would send them to you, even clubs and societies would always come to borrow money and in many cases i would refuse bse if at any time the headmaster asked for accountability...i would be ready, i did used to borrow myself and it was so natural returning it, it seems silly but if u arent a thief, u are not a thief!!!The best part of it was the weekend when someone was going out to get a movie, whoever left got a hefty allowance, 10k for 2 movies, even if we used to get them nearly for free, transport, probably 5k, lunch another 5k and emergency probably 2k, that was so little compared to the amount we made,...well i dont think i have answered yr question, have i???

Hi peeps.
Believe it or not, I am enjoying all these introductions.
I am just concerned that we still seem to be very few in this community.
Can we make an effort to convince many more.
Surely we can comfortably clock 100 members!
Let's try hard!
In the meantime, I must say that many of you guys still leave a blank in my mind.
Since Solo seems good at initiating ideas, please (Solo) bring up the idea of posting snaps.
Atleast that would help pals like me.
Thanks.
Bugo.................. I suggest you try hard to remember this Pote guy.
I am here to stay and I can be of good use to your mind.
I am glad that wyldude appreciates my 'slap'.............. that was the whole idea!
Later pals.
Someone please remind KSK to keep writing.

From: GaliSent: 8/19/2002 11:05 PM
But Pote..why are you trying to tease Solo? You know very well that if we were to post pictures..Solo would not be able to post one.. some distinctive feature would not fit in a passport size picture..atleast the last time I saw him:) Stop me if I am telling lies Solo:)

I'm Mark Katumba, I was in Australia from 95 to 2000. I didnt do much of sports so I hardly went to the pitch where all the kavuyo used to be.I have always been quiet so I dont have much more to say about myself.

From: GaliSent: 9/27/2002 2:23 PM
But MR. Mark-TOE/ Bata/ footlocker;
you claim the identity of being humble and quiet on the field and not playing sports.
Need I remind you that you were Australia house's best swimmer. And part of that is attributed to the fact that you share the same bodily advantages as the famous Australian swimmer (Thorpe).
And another sport you took part in was scratching especially at nite during enterte. Oba you thought that scratching was not a sport???

By the way Ashy I dig your C.V. Take for example your contribution in music and drama for Aussie. I think that i you were never taking part, our house would not have lasted all those years, it was embarassing but when you stopped acting in S.6, we improved to the second last. I hear you are still running very fast these days despite you gaining a pot like our old music teacher.

Hi everyone, i hope you guys are going great, but as for Mark, i have no words for you and as one of our members always says, sometimes the best answer is silence and thats exactly what am doing as for now. Take care guys
