Benefits of Joining

Members love the Budonians International. And for many good reasons…

The place to network
Sure, everyone networks, but not everyone can network with the largest group of Budonian Alumni in the world. BI is the perfect place to meet great alums and well-wishers you don't know…yet. Why not take advantage of this exclusive and most valuable resource? Who knows, that next career move you are looking for could be found here.

Very special interest groups
We have plenty of groups that make it easy to connect with other members who share your personal and professional interests. Groups include Lawyers Group, IT Group and the  Engineering Group.

Reconnect with old friends
Remember all the interesting people you met on the hill? BI is a great place to re-connect with old friends. Facebook is fine, but with our get together events, nothing can take the place of meeting an old buddy over a cup of hot "chai" to reminisce about the memories of Budo.

With all these reasons and many more, what are you waiting for?

Sponsor A Student

Current Achievements
These are your achievement as donors because it is your kindness that has enabled this to be possible. So far you have sponsored two students already with your support! You paid for their educational expenses (school fees) throughout their Advanced Level of education.

Your Sponsees - 3 so far!

Ruth Mulungi
Maureen Mukhoda
Eseza Kiwumulo

This Fund was used to establish a scholarship program for deserving students at King’s College Budo, which began in September of 2003. Already, Ruth Mulungi, our first beneficiary completed her A level education at Budo. Her success looms as an exciting testimony to BI’s commitment to changing King’s College Budo (one life at a time if necessary) through the generous support of our donors.
We encourage you to continue supporting this special philanthropic cause. To give that you may have a lasting value in the lives of those that BI will touch. Each penny donated will go a long way to change the financial circumstances and inevitably the future of one of our own.
In this section, we highlight the students that your money supports and their achievements.

Ruth Mulungi (2003-2005)
Ruth was our first sponsee and surely she was a gem at King's College Budo. Her mother was met with hard financial strife and we managed to fund her tuition through Advanced Level of education at KCB.
Currently, Ruth is successfully pursuing a Business Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management at Uganda's Premier University, Makerere University Business School. She is eternally thankful for all of your donations that helped to jump-start her dreams.

Maureen Mukhoda
(2006-2007)
Maureen was an outstanding student while still at King's College Budo. She participated in everything from drama in Sabaganzi House to leadership (she was a House Prefect). The list goes on but a picture is worth a thousand words, so have a look at her accomplishments in our album below.

Eseza Kiwumulo (2008 - 2011)
We are currently sponsoring our third student , Eseza Kiwumulo. She currently needs Ug Shs 570 000 per term for her tuition and board. We are in the process of acquiring some photos of Eseza.

About Us

Budonians International (BI) is an organization made up of well-wishers of King's College Budo uniting to support the under-previledged students at the hill. Launched in February 2002, BI set out to create an avenue for Budonians (aspora and diaspora) to pull intellectual and financial resources together and help each other leverage our individual talents and visions, in order to create more of what is good - both for ourselves and for others.

BI has 3 simple goals:

:: to support underprivileged students at King ’s College Budo.
:: to improve and modernize King’s College Budo through philanthropy.
:: to connect highly motivated and excellent students to international universities abroad (US/UK)

We believe that given the chance, Budonians could exceed the highest international standards of education.

We as the BI team are eternally thankful for the generous contributions that have been made towards the Budonians International Fund. Read more about the Ruth, Maureen and the children we've sponsored in the donate section.
